The third installment of the cycle of Future Conversations: Think in Spanish, organized by EL PAÍS and the Ortega-Marañón Foundation, takes place this Wednesday at the Ateneo de Madrid, with a meeting between the journalist Marta Peirano and the essayist Remedios Zafra, who will talk about the reality of social networks, moderated by José María Lassalle .
In the first edition, the director of the Cervantes Institute, Luis García Montero spoke with the social anthropologist Carlos Granés about the role of the Spanish language when thinking about the future. In a second installment, the journalist Maruja Torres and the former politician and thinker Clara Serra dealt with the issue of sex and power. In total, there will be eight debates, until April 20, at the Ortega-Marañón Foundation, the Cervantes Institute, the Círculo de Bellas Artes and the Ateneo de Madrid.
The federal future of Spain, The Reality of Networks EITHER the future of happiness are some of the titles of the colloquiums that make up the cycle. Of the eight meetings, two will be dedicated to the Revista de Occidente, its work and its trajectory in its 100 years of activity. They lead these meetings with the poet and art critic Juan Manuel Bonet and the philologist and writer María Luisa Maillard. The last conference will be moderated by the director of EL PAÍS, Pepa Bueno, and the journalists Iñaki Gabilondo and Jordi Évole will speak about the validity of journalism.
