Gujarat Titans wicketkeeper Vriddhiman Saha forced captain Hardik Pandyu to accept the Decision Review System (DRS) challenge during the 2023 IPL game against the Punjab Kings on Friday. Saah’s insistence on getting tested helped the side sack PBKS star slugger Jitesh Sharma. The incident occurred on the third ball of the 13th over when Jitesh got a slight lead on Mohit Sharma’s serve and Saha easily caught the ball. While the umpire and bowler remain unmoved, Saha continues to press for a review.
While Hardick was making this decision, the GT skipper wasn’t too sure about his decision either. However, replays showed that there was a clear surge when the ball was close to the bat.

Speaking of the match, Schubman Gill played a major role in a six-wicket win for the reigning GT champions and a six-wicket win over PBKS.
Chasing the target at 154, GT were moving towards victory until English all-rounder Sam Curran sent Gill off for 67 in the final round of the chase to give hope to PBKS.
Curran, the most expensive player in the history of the tournament, tried to defend seven balls in the last over, but Rahul Tewatia hit the penultimate ball for four and won the game.
Previously, the PBKS, led by former Indian rookie Shikhar Dhawan, could only go 153–8 after being forced to fight by their opponents.
GT returned to victory after being stunned by KKR after Rinku Singh’s latest heroism in Ahmedabad.
The PBKS, on the other hand, suffered their second loss at the trot, having started the season with two wins in the same number of rides.
