Rajasthan Royals topped the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) points table after beating Chennai Super Kings three times in an away match on Wednesday. The Rajasthan Royals scored first 175/8. Chasing CSK needed 21 points from the latter, with MS Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeja in the fold. However, CSK managed to score 172/6 in 20 overs. After the match, RR became gone. First side with 6 points in four games (NRR +1.588), pushing the Lucknow Super Giants to second place (6 points in 4 games, NRR +1.048). CSK remains in fifth place with 4 points in 4 games (NRR +0.225).

Talking about the match, Mahendra Singh Dhoni gave a glimpse of the good old days of thrilling finishes, but surprise Rajasthan Royals sailor Sandeep Sharma nailed a pair of perfect block holes to earn the Rajasthan Royals win over the Chennai Super Kings with three runs in a close IPL meeting, in Chennai at Wednesday.
