The MS Dhoni Chennai Super Kings kept their composure until the last ball in the 2023 IPL final against the Gujarat Titans to claim the title in style. When four balls were required for the final serve, Ravindra Jadeha reached the limit to pass CSK. With this win, CSK secured a record-breaking fifth IPL title. Chasing 171 in 15 overs (target changed after rain interrupted the match), CSK were 149/4 in 12.4 overs when Dhoni entered the field. However, the CSK captain lost 0 as CSK went down to 149/5 in 12.5 overs. However, Shivam Dube and Jadeja made sure that CSK didn’t have any more problems.

Almost every cricket fan wanted to witness Dhoni’s iconic helicopter shot, but their hopes were dashed by Mohit Sharma who took out the CSK captain on the first delivery.
Former Indian skipper Sunil Gavaskar stated that if Dhoni landed the winning shot, it would be like “the icing on the cake”.
“If he was there to win, it would be like the icing on the cake. But in the end, being a team person, he would be very happy. first ball but his team won the title and in the end that’s all that matters,” Gavaskar told Sports Tak.
“Whether you’re hitting hundreds, taking five wickets, if your team is losing, it’s not going to be fun. But if you score zero or you can lose in 40-50 runs if your team wins, that’s huge,” he added.
