MS Dhoni ‘would have clearly told him…’: Wasim Akram denied social media rumors of rift between CSK captain and Ravindra Jadeya

Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni were the two pillars behind Chennai Super Kings’ fifth IPL campaign. While Dhoni led the team with his tactical genius and calm head, Jadeja provided mid-range solidity. As CSK needed 10 runs after the last two goals in the final against the Gujarat Titans, Jadeja scored six and four to lead the team to their fifth title. During IPL 2023, there were rumors on social media that Jadea was unhappy with the CSK camp. Former Pakistani star Wasim Akram denies such rumors.

“Dhoni is the gem of a cricketer, the gem of a captain. He has won the IPL five times as a single player. experience, calmness, composure, cricket feeling, fitness and passion. No matter how fit you are, if you’re not passionate, you won’t get results,” Akram told Sportskeeda.

He was then specifically asked about the rumors of a “discord” between Dhoni and Ravindra Jadeya.

“All these rumors on social media… nowadays people write some story while sitting at home and it goes viral. We are such bums. …he had been playing under him for so many years. Why did Jadeya have a rift with him. Knowing Dhoni, if there was a problem, he would clearly tell him, beta idhar aao (son come here) and sort it all out,” Akram told Sportskeeda.

“Jadea even said that his captain was behind his performances. This is what is called leading forward. We have to commend Dhoni and CSK for winning the IPL five times, which is one of the toughest tournaments in world cricket. After retiring from cricket, Dhoni will remain at CSK as a mentor.”
