There is only a week left before the finals of the World Testing Championship. The Indian cricket team under Rohit Sharma is seeing a good run as they face the Australian team in a top-level clash at The Oval starting on 7 June. time. The WTC final, India’s second, provides the team with a good opportunity to end this drought. Several top players such as Jasprit Bumra and Rishabh Pant are not part of the team due to injuries. Despite the absence of Bumra, the Indian tempo lineup looks pretty strong. However, in the absence of Pant, the choice is between Ishan Kishan and K.S. Bharat.
Ravi Shastri shared his opinion on the perfect “12” for the WTC Finals.
“When you look at the WTC, if I remember the last time India was in the final, it’s very important what you learn from this game. You must choose the team that suits the conditions. Last time in Southampton the weather was really overcast. So I will pick my 12. My 12 is very clear: Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara in 3rd, Virat Kohli in 4th, Ajinkya Rahane in 5th,” Ravi Shastri told Star Sports.
“Now the choice should be between KS Bharat and Ishan Kishan. I have a feeling India might just go with… depending on who’s playing… two spinners playing maybe KS Bharat. But if there are four seamers and one spinner, then he will go the other way. Six will be Jadeja, 7 will be Mohammed Shami, 8 will be Mohammed Siraj, 9 will be Shardul Thakur. 11 will be Ravichandran Ashvin and 12 will be Umesh Yadav.”
The WTC Final is due to start on June 7th at The Oval.
