With four trotting losses, Delhi Capitals will be looking for redemption in their 2023 IPL match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on Saturday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The team led by David Warner is currently at the bottom of the points table and has yet to open a win scoring. DC struggled to get a consistent batting lineup as their top players like Prithvi Shaw and Manish Pandey failed to put in a good performance.
We think DC can play XI against RCB.
Since Mitchell Marsh has rejoined the DC camp after taking a short break due to a wedding, he is expected to be there in Playing XI. His arrival means Mustafizur Rahman could be on the bench.
Things are going wrong for the David Warner-led side, and the team’s think tank is struggling to stop the rot that has begun.
Warner is second on the list of top earners, but his hitting rate of 114.83 is worrying. He struggled to score quickly, and DC losing wickets in heaps only made it harder for the Aussie.
Prithvi Shaw’s technical problems came to the fore with high-end tempo attacks that couldn’t be fixed quickly. Manish Pandey, who succeeded Sarfaraz Khan, also did not contribute. Debutant Yash Dhull only lasted four balls against Mee.
The team’s poor strength on the bench in terms of Indian talent means the coaching staff now only has Ripal Patel to lean on.
Forecast DC XI vs RCBCast: David Warner (c), Prithvi Shaw, Manish Pandey, Mitchell Marsh, Riley Rossow/Rowman Powell, Aksar Patel, Lalit Yadav, Abhishek Porel (jc), Kuldip Yadav, Anrih Nortier, Khalil Ahmed
