Former Indian cricket team stars Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar have proven to be one of the best starting pairings in ODI cricket to take the national team to great heights. In 93 innings, the duo hit 3,919 runs. In addition to playing on the field, both players are also very closely connected off the field. Sehwag recently revealed how he and Tendulkar hilariously played a prank on Surav Ganguly during their matchdays and forced him to call an Adidas rep for a T-shirt.
Sehwag stated that Master Blaster planned to play a prank on Ganguly. He revealed that while the former captain was on the toilet, they both talked about getting new Adidas jerseys from Germany.
“Sachin Tendulkar and I were brand ambassadors for Adidas. We went to the toilet and Sachin said, “Let’s have a joke with Dada (Surav Ganguly).” He asked me to just play along. Dada went to the bathroom and we’re standing outside,” Sehwag said on Breakfast with Champions.
“He said, ‘These shirts are from Adidas from Germany, they are so good,'” he added. “I agreed, saying, ‘The stuff is really good.’ And having said all this, we left. Dada then called Adidas and asked for T-shirts from Germany, which were given to Sachin and Sehwag,” he added.
Sehwag went on to talk about how Sachin predicted the line and length of the bowler before serving, which helped him a lot.
“I used to be Sachin’s gym partner. He taught me a lot in life. He taught me difficulties and practice. He predicted the length of the bowler and gave me a signal. I’ve been playing for so many years now that I can predict how he’s trying to knock you out longer.” The next ball will only be served to its full height,” he said.
