Butter Shikhar Dhawan gave all cricket lovers a delightful morning by posting a photo with Rishabh Pant on his Instagram. The two players reunited at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore where Pant, 25, was undergoing rehab. The wicket-batter has been out of action since December 2022 after being involved in a horrific car accident while traveling from Delhi to Rourkee. He continues to update his fans about his health through his social media posts.
Taking to Instagram, Dhawan shared a photo with Pant, where the latter was seen wearing a bandage on his leg. “Back and better than ever! So good to see you again,” Dhawan wrote in the caption.
The photo soon went viral as Pant also commented on it with two fire emojis. Later, former Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh also expressed delight and commented with two diamond emojis.
It is noteworthy that both Pant and Dhawan are from Delhi and share a very close bond of friendship. They played for India and were also teammates in the IPL for the Delhi Capitals.
Dhawan recently played in the 16th IPL where he captained the Punjab Kings. His journey was cut short by some injuries, but he still had a phenomenal batsmanship, scoring 373 points in 11 matches.
However, he failed to take the PBKS to the playoffs as they only managed six wins out of 14 matches and finished eighth in the points standings.
Speaking of Pant, the wicket-taker recently interacted with under-16 cricketers in the NCA. BCCI shared some photos of the interaction and thanked Pant for sharing some tips for aspiring cricketers.
Earlier, the 25-year-old cricketer also posted a video on his Instagram in which he was able to walk without the help of crutches. He was seen to throw away his crutches and walk without any difficulty.
In the video, Pant and his trainer tried walking with crutches for the first time and then threw them away, much to the delight of fans.
