It has been 15 years since MS Dhoni wore the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) jersey for the first time in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Over the years, the former captain of the Indian national team has established himself as a real great player. Not only with his strike as a finisher or holding the wicket, Dhoni has made a name for himself as a skilled tactician. Later on Wednesday, CSK will play the Rajasthan Royals (RR) in what will be Dhoni’s 200th game as franchise captain. Before the match, great player Sunil Gavaskar said that Dhoni should promote himself in batting order as he can still make a difference with his explosive punch.

Ahead of Dhoni’s landmark performance, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja expressed his hope that the team would present him with a victory at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on this special occasion.
“What can I say, he is an Indian cricket legend. So, I would like to wish him good luck. I hope in his 200th game we will win in Chepauk and all the fans will be happy, so we will continue. I hope tomorrow we will win and give him a gift for his 200th match (IPL) as a captain,” Jadeja said. quoted by the official website of the team during the interaction with the media before the match.
MS Dhoni is the most consistent skipper in IPL history. He led CSK to four IPL titles (2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021 editions).
Dhoni has captained 213 times in the IPL, of which he has won 125 matches, lost 87 and lost one match.
