The way Avesh Khan celebrated Lucknow Super Giants’ victory over Royal Challengers Bangalore in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 divided fans and pundits. Immediately after completing the winning run, Aves took off his helmet and threw it on the ground before starting a celebration with his teammates. While the cricketer was fined for his celebration, the Odisha State Transportation Authority turned it and the action into a traffic safety message on social media.
“Lessons from #RoadSafety from #IPL. Helmet in cricket and while riding a two-wheeled vehicle for your safety. Respect this or you may pay a fine,” the government body wrote on Facebook.
Even Bengaluru franchise skipper Faf du Plessis was fined by the IPL Governing Board for “slow over-bets” in the match. Du Plessis was fined INR 12 lakh after the RCB failed to meet its overs quota within the time limit.
LSG won the match by one wicket after the last ball and their number 11 batter Aves threw his helmet in excitement after the run ended, prompting a reprimand from the match umpire.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have been fined for slowly inflating their ratings during the 15th game of the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) against the Lucknow Super Giants at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore on Monday. .

“Avesh Khan of the Lucknow Super Giants has been reprimanded for violating the Code of Conduct. Mr. Aves acknowledged a Level 1 2.2 violation of the IPL Code of Conduct and accepted the sanction.”
