Australia’s all-around women’s national team Jess Jonassen announced her wedding to longtime partner and “best friend” Sarah Wearn on Friday via a social media post. On Twitter, Jonassen talked about her wedding with a stunning ceremony by the water in Hawaii. After several delays due to COVID-19, Jonassen and Wearn got married on April 6 at Magic Island, Waikiki, Oahu. “SURPRISE!! The third time was lucky – finally married my best friend. April 6th will always have a special place in my heart,” the couple wrote in a joint Twitter post.

The couple originally planned to get married in May 2020, but postponed the wedding twice due to the pandemic.
Despite the delay, the couple continued other milestones in their relationship, buying a house together in September 2018 and adopting French bulldog puppies Alfie and Freddie into their family.
Jonassen, a left spinner and skilled batsman, has been a mainstay of the Australian national team for more than a decade.
She was part of the Australian teams that won the 2020 T20 World Championship and the 2022 ODI World Championship.
The 30-year-old also competed in the recently concluded inaugural Women’s Premier League, where she played a key role in helping the Delhi Capitals reach the final.
In the final, DC failed to get up at bat as the Indians from Mumbai managed to win the 2023 WPL.
She will tour England with Australia in June and July this year to compete in the Women’s Ashes competition.
The one-time test will be conducted from June 22, and the T20I series will begin on July 1. This will be followed by a series of three ODI matches on 12 July.
