Indian cricket icon M.S. Dhoni’s unorthodox style may have modernized the approach to goal play. But there remain several aspects of life in which the 41-year-old is still old school. In the age of social media and 5G internet, Dhoni stays away from her phone. But there was a time when the legendary cricketer was active on social media and even responded to fans and trolls who taunted him online.
One such incident occurred in July 2012 when a fan asked Dhoni to “focus on his game”. A fan tweeted: “Please focus on how you bat and not on twitter.”
To the surprise of many, Dhoni responded to the fan by saying “Sir, yes sir, any advice sir.”

Dhoni’s hilarious response not only stunned the fan, but also sent a message to the trolls sharing such wisdom on social media.
After the recent Indian Premier League final, Dhoni even stated that he prefers to stay away from his phone. In fact, his Chennai Super Kings teammate Ambati Rayudu also does the same, according to Tala.
“I’ve been playing with him for a long time, since touring India. He is a player who can play both spin and pace equally well. This is something really special. I felt that he would do something really special, I’m really happy for him. This game will be the one he will remember, he is also like me – not someone who often uses the phone,” Dhoni said after the IPL final.
Even former India captain Virat Kohli said in an interview that Dhoni is difficult to reach because he doesn’t have his phone with him.
