Among bromance chatter, old MS Dhoni video, Hardik Pandya Racing Resurfaces

Hardik Pandya took on his idol MS Dhoni earlier this week when the Gujarat Titans took on the Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 Final. However, Hardik failed to get the better of his idol as Dhoni. led CSK to their fifth IPL title. After the defeat, Hardik said that he was proud of his team and if he had to cede the title to anyone, he would rather give it to CSK captain Dhoni. He said that it was destiny for Dhoni to win the title and good things happen to good people and “he was one of the best people he knew”.

“I am very happy for him (M.S. Dhoni), as it is destined by fate. If I had to lose, I would rather lose to him. Good things happen to good people and he was one of the best people I know. God was good, God was good to me too, but tonight was his night,” Hardik Pandya said during the post-match presentation.

Less than a week after the final, an old video of Dhoni and Hardik filmed with the Indian team went viral on social media.

The video, which was eventually posted by BCCI on December 13, 2017, was re-posted by a Twitter user on Thursday.

The video shows Dhoni and Hardik racing each other.

Notably, the video was broadcast prior to the ODI between India and Sri Lanka.

The match is famous for Rohit Sharma’s unbeaten score of 208.

India published a total of 392/4 on the back of Rohit’s knokc.

In response, Sri Lanka was limited to 251/8.

India won the match by 141 runs.
