Indian star slugger Virat Kohli and explosive Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell maintain friendly relations on and off the pitch. Maxwell joined Kohli at the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) ahead of IPL 2021 and the two shared a great on-field partnership for their franchise. In a recent interaction, Maxwell revealed that he was once compared to Kohli, which he says is one of the biggest compliments he has ever received. The video was posted by RCB on their official Twitter account.
“Once I was compared to Virat Kohli, it was a serious compliment. It was completely unnecessary and definitely not even true, but I got a couple of good hits and I was compared to Virat, which was pretty nice, ”recalled Maxwell.

During the same interaction, Maxwell also spoke about his craziest interaction with fans.
“Every time you drive through an airport in India, it’s pretty crazy. Yesterday there were people in the car who followed me and Faf (Faf du Plessis) down the road and knocked on the windows, it was interesting,” he added.
RCB’s big three – Kohli, du Plessis and Maxwell – all scored half a century during the 2023 IPL match against the Lucknow Super Giants.
However, Nicolás Pourán broke the fastest fifty balls of an IPL season with 15 and LSG had a mind-boggling 213-ball chase.
Puran scored 62 out of 19 goals and Markus Stoinis scored 30 goals. 65 Lucknow climbed over the line to win by one wicket in a dramatic final.
RCB will now play the Delhi Capitals in their next game on Saturday, April 15th.
