Alan Wake and Remedy fans had to wait thirteen years for a follow-up to the mysterious first trip. As most people had hoped, Alan Wake 2 is the straight follow-up to the first game. It wraps up the story’s loose ends and leaves us with even more questions.
The fact that we are both happy with Alan Wake 2’s story and still have a lot to look forward to shows how good Remedy is at what they do. Will there be answers to these questions in the future? It’s hard to say if some of these questions even have answers because the story is supernatural and magical.
Who Is Ahti The Janitor?
We still don’t know what his skills are, even though we’ve spent more time with him in this game than in 2019’s Control. Who or what is Ahti really? Ahti is played by the Finnish actress Martti Suosalo, who is known to players in Finland. Everyone else doesn’t understand him at all.
Even though he seems to know everything and be kind, he doesn’t tell Alan what’s going on or exactly what he needs to do. Still, he’s there for Alan when he needs help the most, so we can’t be too mad at his sneaky ways as long as the hero likes him.
Alice Wake Seems Calm And At Peace In The Dark Place, Why?
The scene during the credits shows that Alice Wake did not really harm herself, but instead went back to The Dark Place. Characters like Thomas Zane and Alan Wake, who seem to go crazy and be confused while they’re in the strange zone, are the exact opposite of her.
It’s possible that the years she spent taking pictures and being scared by Mr. Scratch made her stronger than the other artists. The Dark Presence was right in front of her in her art, so maybe it helped her get ready for the Dark Place.
What Is Ascension?
It is said by Alice Wake that the only two ways to beat the Dark Presence are to destroy it or rise above it. Alan decides to destroy himself by giving his life, but Alice tells him that this is just the start of a new journey that will bring him closer to beating Mr. Scratch or the Dark Presence.
Some words, like “ascension,” sound like they belong in the Bible, but we think they mean something different in Alan Wake’s world. In terms of its themes and how it relates to the artistic process, the game might be saying that artists shouldn’t hurt themselves to get through hard times. To get above the evil, you have to face it head-on.
From What Time Is Alan Calling Himself In The Last Act?
Before starting the big ending, Alan gets a call from himself, which he probably thinks is from the future. We can’t stop Alan from making that call to himself during the next part of the game, though. When did Alan start calling himself again? What amount of time has passed? A few days? Years?
The next step Alan sounds like he thinks he will have to go through even more pain before his journey is over. Alan might have hit a level of “ascension.”
What Makes Bright Falls Different Than Any Other AWE?
There are many strange things that happen in Control that could change reality or even end the world. What’s so great about Alan Wake’s story?
The Dark Presence and the way fiction affects reality can happen outside of Bright Falls. However, Agent Estevez of the Federal Bureau of Control says that other events that change the world can also do this. The Dark Place seems like a different reality that Mr. Door can go through. But is it really something else that is a bigger threat to Alan Wake’s reality and other dimensions?
Is Alex Casey Okay?
After Alan Wake is violently exorcised of the Dark Presence, it takes over Alex Casey. In the last few seconds of Slope Game, he is freed from it. His very last line, “Is it over?” marks the end of the game perfectly. We think Alex Casey is still in trouble, though.
People don’t have these kinds of experiences with mysterious forces. Instead, they go on with their normal lives. Also, how do fact and fiction really differ when it comes to Alex Casey from Alan Wake 2 and Alex Casey from Alan Wake’s fiction?
Who Was Saga’s Father?
Tor Anderson tells a lot about how Saga was raised and why his daughter Freya left Bright Falls and her family. That being said, Saga’s father is only mentioned briefly and in a bad way.
Will he become a character someday, and does he have a plan for the strange things happening in Bright Falls and elsewhere? Could this be one reason why Saga’s mom kept the Anderson family’s skills a secret? It might be bad if he shows up again, no matter what the reason is.
Is Sam Lake Only An Actor In The Dark Place?
On more than one level, the idea that Sam Lake could be both a model for a character in the game and the person who plays Alex Casey in the dark place is meta. The way Alex Casey acts in the game and in Alan Wake 2 both blurs the lines between what is real and what is not. So, does Sam Lake act in Alan Wake’s world, or does he only act in Dark Place?
We think he’s not, because if he were, characters would talk about how much Alex Casey looks like star Sam Lake. Fans of the first game will notice that it looks a lot like Sam Lake, who played Max Payne. This is made even clearer by the fact that Jame McCaffrey voices Alex Casey.
Where’s Barry Wheeler?
Barry Wheeler is surprisingly not in Alan Wake 2. Being Alan’s agent, he played a big role in the first game and saw what happened in Bright Falls.
Alan Wake 2 only talks about him through emails sent to Alice, which you can read in her Dark Place apartment. The texts come from the Dark Place, so it’s hard to be sure if they are real or not. Either he is a Hollywood producer making sure Alan’s memory lives on, or something worse has happened to him.
Is Logan Alive?
The most important thing that we still don’t know about Saga Anderson is if her daughter Logan is still alive after changing reality in Alan Wake 2. The game’s reality slowly shifts to show that she drowns in Bright Falls. The new ending should have changed this, but Alan Wake 2 cruelly leaves us on the edge of our seats.
Logan’s death would ruin Saga completely, and she would probably hate Alan Wake in all future tales. Logan is most likely going to be friends with the main character if she lives.
