Flanged – These types of heaters come with a bent tool, which is required to be welded at the time of installation. They come equipped with ‘U’ shaped tubular elements. These heating devices are mostly used for large capacity vessels carrying liquid elements and in pressurized applications.
Threaded or Screw Plug – These heathers can be directly welded at the side of the tank which is to be heated. They have a built-in control mechanism. These devices maintain the liquid inside the tank at a stable temperature and keep it from freezing during cold weather.
Irrespective of the heating device you use for various applications, they are bound to wear out with time, but in most cases they can be again made good for service simply by replacing the heating element; element is the most vital component of any heater which is indispensable for the functioning of such devices.
